In 2008 a marsh meadow was drained, in order to extend the green around the cottage. The flushing waters have been drained into culverts dug around the reclaimed area. The culverts heed to a broad ditch dug at the south end of the reclaimed area, where they feed a pond, whose shore is made of grass and natural river stones.
On the pond an elliptic wooden flying bridge has been spanned.
